Conveniently located in the heart of Washington, DC, USA, the Foggy Bottom Campus of the George Washington University is an urban campus. The George Washington University is commonly abbreviated as GW (pronounced GW or G-Dub). It was created by an act of Congress in 1821 and is celebrating its bicentennial this year.
The conference will be held inside the new Science and Engineering Hall. The Science and Engineering Hall occupies an entire city block: between 22nd and 23rd St NW and H and I (eye) St NW. It is only 6 blocks from the White House, 3 blocks from the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Pan American Health Organization, etc. It is also a short walk to the National Mall, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the commercial and historic area of Georgetown, Dupont Circle, etc.
The Science and Engineering Hall is across the street from the Foggy Bottom – GWU metro station and is served by many bus lines.
